Margaret Cavalier is a multi-award-winning public media producer. She currently serves as Associate Producer on “Donkey Hodie,” a puppet series that teaches preschoolers social and emotional skills and airs nationally on PBS KIDS. Margaret supports all aspects of series production.

Prior to this she was a Coordinating Producer at Ideastream Public Media, Cleveland's joint PBS NPR station. She led production of “NewsDepth” a children's current events show used by hundreds of teachers across Ohio. “NewsDepth” airs weekly on multiple Ohio PBS channels and is accessed online by thousands of users.

Margaret earned a Master of Arts in Public Media from Ohio University in 2016. Her studies focused on narrative nonfiction and multimedia storytelling. After earning a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Kent State University in 2012, Margaret worked as a print journalist - writing about education and small town issues in Northeast Ohio. She is always in pursuit of a story and often forgets her cup of coffee in the microwave.
